Singular Artists
bar italia have quickly become one of the most talked-about bands in indie music, and they’re bringing their hypnotic live show to The Button Factory. If you haven’t caught them yet, this intimate Temple Bar venue is the perfect place to do it.
What to Expect
The London trio, Jezmi Tarik Fehmi, Nina Cristante, and Sam Fenton, make music that’s hard to pin down, and that’s exactly the point. Their sound drifts between shoegaze, post-punk, lo-fi pop, and something altogether their own. Live, they’re known for being captivating and slightly unpredictable, with a cool detachment that draws you in rather than pushing you away. Tracks from their critically acclaimed albums shimmer with layered guitars, deadpan vocals, and a mood that sits somewhere between late-night melancholy and effortless cool. The Button Factory’s sound system does justice to this kind of music, so expect to feel it as much as hear it.
Good to Know
Doors are at 7:30pm. The Button Factory is a standing venue with a capacity of around 800, so it’ll be an up-close experience without feeling cramped. Tickets are €25 and this one could sell out, as bar italia have a dedicated following that tends to snap up tickets quickly. The venue is cashless for all purchases. It’s an over-18s show, and valid ID may be required at the door.
Getting There
The Button Factory is tucked away on Curved Street in the heart of Temple Bar, just off Eustace Street. If you’re coming by Luas, Jervis (Green Line) is your nearest stop, about a seven-minute walk. From Tara Street DART station, it’s roughly a 10-minute walk across the river. The area is well served by Dublin Bus, with stops on Dame Street and along the quays. Parking in Temple Bar is limited and expensive on weekday evenings, so public transport or walking is the way to go. There’s no shortage of spots for a pre-gig pint, since you’re literally in Temple Bar.
