This Wallking Tour is a combination of U2s and local Dublin history. Our Tour Guide, in this unique Walking Tour, will take you through the places that shaped U2 and their music and learn about the history of Dublin city. You will discover the city of Dublin from a new perspective.

1. Meeting point (pass by)
2. Dublin’s Dandelion Market moved to Gaiety Green next to Saint Stephen’s Green in 1973 where it remained until the development of the Saint Stephen’s Green shopping center got underway.

One of the places where U2 played. We’ll look for the “Rock ‘n Stroll” plaque commemorating the Dandelion Market. (pass by) 3. Windmill Lane A quick walk towards the docks.

Photo opportunity at the modern Windmill Lane studios. Can visit the site of old studio (sadly no longer there since 2015). Hanover Quay Studio

This studio has been U2’s recording headquarters for many years. (pass by) 4. We will visit the place and hear about the anecdotes and stories related with the U2 band and this iconic place (pass by) 5. We will pass by the monument commemorating the victims of the 1974 Dublin and Monaghan bombings (pass by) 6. We will finish the Walking Tour in this iconic street in the heart of Dublin, with monuments dedicated to some of the leaders in the fight for Irish independence. (pass by)

Meeting point: The starting point will be at the entrance of The Gaiety Theatre at 11 am. Please arrive 5-10 mins earlier ;-) Looking forward to seeing you there!
