The Liberties neighbourhood has been Dublin’s distilling heartland for centuries, and Teeling brought the craft back to these streets when it opened as the city’s first new distillery in over 125 years. This is not a museum or a heritage centre - it is a working distillery where you can watch whiskey being made in gleaming copper pot stills and then taste the results.

Your guide walks you through every stage of production, from grain to glass, explaining the three-pot-still process that gives Teeling its distinctive smooth character. The sights, sounds, and aromas of a fully operational distillery make this a properly immersive experience rather than a passive one. You will see the mash tun, the washbacks, the still house, and the cask warehouse, with your guide adding context on why Dublin was once the whiskey capital of the world - and how Teeling is carrying that tradition forward.

The tour finishes with a guided tasting of Teeling’s award-winning range, including their signature blend and small batch expressions. Afterwards, you are free to linger in the Bang Bang Bar for cocktails or rare whiskey pours, browse the gift shop, or grab a coffee and pastry at the Phoenix Cafe. The whole experience runs about 90 minutes and is a highlight for anyone with even a passing interest in Irish whiskey.
