Behind a door that most visitors to Bow Street never even notice sits JJ’s Office - a beautifully restored room that served as John Jameson’s private quarters in the original distillery. This is the only way in, and the atmosphere feels genuinely secretive. Low lighting, leather chairs, and the kind of quiet that makes you lean forward and pay attention.

A Jameson Brand Ambassador leads the session, walking you through four premium whiskeys from the Jameson portfolio. These are not your standard bar pours. The tasting includes the seasonal Maker’s Choice expression - a limited whiskey that changes throughout the year and showcases the experimental side of what Midleton’s distillers are doing. You will learn to nose properly, identify flavour profiles, and understand why triple distillation gives Irish whiskey its signature smoothness.

The highlight is drawing whiskey directly from the cask in the live maturation warehouse next door. Tasting straight from the barrel, before blending and bottling have done their work, gives you a completely different perspective on how Jameson develops its character.
