About This Tour

The Guinness Storehouse at St. James’s Gate is Dublin’s most visited attraction for good reason. Built inside an old fermentation plant in the heart of the working brewery, this seven-storey experience takes you on a journey through the entire story of the world’s most famous stout - from grain to glass.

Your visit begins at ground level inside a towering glass atrium shaped like a giant pint glass. As you climb through each floor, you will discover the four simple ingredients that make Guinness what it is - water, barley, hops and yeast - and follow the brewing process from start to finish. Along the way, interactive exhibits bring over 250 years of history to life, including some of the most memorable advertising campaigns ever created. There is also a cooperage display showing how the iconic barrels were once made by hand.

The grand finale awaits on the seventh floor at the Gravity Bar, where you will trade your ticket for a complimentary pint of perfectly poured Guinness (or a soft drink if you prefer). Sip it slowly while taking in 360-degree panoramic views across Dublin - from the Wicklow Mountains to the Dublin Bay coastline. It is the best view in the city, and the best pint.
