- Begin your journey at the Henry Grattan statue in College Green, where Dublin’s political heart once beat strongest. Gather beneath the bronze figure of Grattan—the fiery parliamentarian who championed Irish legislative independence in the 18th century—and set the stage for a story of power, culture, rebellion, and imagination. Explore the origins of College Green as a medieval fairground, its transformation into Ireland’s political center, and its role in shaping modern Irish identity. From College Green, step through the gates of Trinity College Dublin, founded in 1592 by Queen Elizabeth I. Enter the Treasury Building and begin your visit to the world-famous Book of Kells, created around 800 AD by monks of Iona, Scotland and Kells, Ireland (15 min)
- Examine the astonishing detail of the illuminated pages—the swirling Celtic designs, the hidden animals, the golden symbolism—and learn how the manuscript survived Viking raids, political turmoil, and centuries of careful preservation. Next, the tour flows into the Long Room Library upstairs, one of the most breath taking literary spaces in the world. (60 min)

- The Irish Parliament known officially as Dáil Éireann, seat of the modern Irish democracy. Outside Leinster House, discuss the history of the Irish Free State, the evolution of democracy, and the political debates that continue to shape the nation. (10 min)
- We enter the National Museum of Ireland – Archaeology for a guided exploration of Ireland’s ancient treasures. Highlights include the beautiful and ancient Tara Brooch, the Ardagh Chalice, and the mysterious bog bodies preserved for over two thousand years.
As you weave through exhibits of Viking Dublin, Celtic craftsmanship, and early Christian Ireland, gain a vivid sense of how the island’s story unfolded long before written history.
The tour concludes nearby outside Bram Stoker’s former residence, the childhood home of the creator of Dracula. Explore Stoker’s life in Dublin, his inspirations drawn from the city’s folklore, and how a civil servant from Kildare Street created one of the most influential Gothic novels of all time.
By the final stop, you will have walked through more than a one and half thousand years of Irish culture and heritage. (60 min)
