What to Expect
Aoife Dunne has been one of the standout names on the Irish comedy circuit for the past few years, and “Good Grief” is her first full hour at a proper theatre venue. The show takes on grief with the kind of honesty that only works when the comedian has actually lived it, finding the dark comedy in the things we’re not supposed to laugh at, but do.
Dunne is smart, warm, and willing to go somewhere uncomfortable to find the funny. This is Sunday night comedy at the 3Olympia - a gorgeous old theatre on Dame Street that adds something to any live show, whether it’s a band or a comedian. The intimacy of her material suits the space well.
If you’re looking for a Sunday night out that’s genuinely funny rather than just distracting, this is worth your time.
