Things to Do in Dublin at Night: Beyond the Pub
Dublin’s nightlife reputation rests almost entirely on pubs. Yes, pubs are brilliant, but the city’s got genuinely excellent things to do after dark beyond just settling in for Guinness. From live music to theatre to night kayaking to late-night food experiences, here’s how to properly spend an evening in Dublin.
Live Music and Traditional Sessions
Traditional Music at The Cobblestone

Planning Your Evening
The key to a brilliant Dublin evening is doing something you actually want to do, not what you think you should do. If you love live music, prioritise that. If you love theatre, book a show. If you love food, find a good restaurant and settle in.
Mix things up. Start the evening with a walk and coffee, move to dinner, then head to live music or a bar. Don’t feel like you have to commit the entire evening to one activity.
