Itinerary

1. We will visit the historic site of Glendalough, the valley of two lakes and the monastery in Wicklow. We will take a panoramic drive through the Wicklow mountains.

From the monastery we can walk up to the two lakes which is known as the “Champagne walk”, a beautiful trail with moss covered trees and streams.

We will drive through the Wicklow National Park, stopping off for some hidden gem photo stops along the way, like the world famous “Guinness lake”, Lough Tay. (90 min) 2. We will take a panoramic drive through the Wicklow mountains, listing to tales of movies made there. You will also see the famous “Guinness lake”, Lough Tay. Some of the movies made here include epics such as “Braveheart” and the TV series “Vikings”.

We will drive along the coast to Dalkey village, world famous for its amazing homes overlooking the Bay. This area is known as little Naples with its amazing homes towering over the cliffs. Theres plenty of time to stop and wander around the village and see its quaint galleries, cafes and the 13th century Dalkey castle. (90 min) 3. In the early afternoon we will arrive in Dublin City, where I will guide you around the sights like Dublin Castle, St. Patrick’s Cathedral and Trinity College. You will have free time for shopping, exploring or visiting one of the many iconic pubs for a pint.

Dublin City has so much to offer and you will certainly see the highlights during the your afternoon. We will visit Merrion square, one of the oldest in the city, dating back to 1777, which is home to the National Art Gallery and our museum quarter. Walk around the narrow streets and discover Dublin’s beauty. (180 min)

Meeting point: After getting off the cruise ship walk along the path which is signposted to the exit and I will be outside the gate with a sign.
