1. HQ of the 1916 Rising in Dublin is our first stop on the tour

The GPO, or General Post Office, in Dublin, Ireland, was the central site of the 1916 Easter Rising, a rebellion against British rule. Led by figures like Patrick Pearse and James Connolly, Irish republicans aimed to establish an independent Irish Republic. The rebels seized key locations, including the GPO, proclaiming the Irish Republic. Despite fierce fighting, the uprising failed due to lack of public support and British military strength.
