Wicklow Mountains National Park is situated just south of Dublin. The Park covers 20,000 hectares of mountain scenery, and many roads cross through it. The most popular location for visitors to the National park is the scenic and historic valley of Glendalough. Much of the rest of the Park is remote with few facilities, but the scenery is worth admiring - actually Powerscourt Gardens were voted the 3rd most beautiful gardens in the world by National Geographic!

The guide will pick you up from your hotel or from your cruise ship.

You will have a scenic drive along the coast and into the Dublin Mountains across through the wonderful wild rugged countryside of Wicklow.

Your tour will take in a monastic site of Glendalough, Guinness Lake, and the National Park.

At the end of the tour, the driver will take you back to the place you are staying.

Itinerary

1. Wicklow is the county town of County Wicklow in Ireland. Located south of Dublin on the east coast of the island, it has a population of 10,584 according to the 2016 census. The town is to the east of the M11 route between Dublin and Wexford. (90 min)
2. Glendalough is a glacial valley in County Wicklow, Ireland, renowned for an Early Medieval monastic settlement founded in the 6th century by St Kevin. From 1825 to 1957, the head of the Glendalough Valley was the site of a galena lead mine. (90 min)
3. Lough Tay or The Guinness Lake, is a small but scenic lake set on private property in the Wicklow Mountains in Ireland. The lake lies between the mountains of Djouce 725 metres, and Luggala 595 metres, and is dominated by Luggala’s east-facing granite cliffs. (60 min)
4. Powerscourt Estate, located in Enniskerry, County Wicklow, Ireland, is a large country estate which is noted for its house and landscaped gardens, today occupying 19 hectares (90 min)
