Day Tour to County Wicklow

About This Tour

I pick up at the guest location. I drive to County Wicklow. All Locations in the description are included. On the way to Wicklow i will give you much interesting information on the journey both about County Dublin and County Wicklow. At Glendalough i will show you a short scenic walk after which i will give you a guided tour through the monastic settlement. I will then drive you to the higher Wicklow Mountains and some beautiful scenery. Here i will describe many movie locations for which County Wicklow is famous. You will be looking down at the Guinness property which includes the stunningly beautiful Lough Tay. From here i will bring you to Ireland’s tallest waterfall (122M) where you can take advantage of wonderful photo opportunities. Then i will bring you to Powerscourt House and Gardens which is reckoned by national Geographic as the third most beautiful gardens in the world! Here you may tour the gardens (entry fee not included). You may also decide to have an excellent lunch.

Itinerary

1. Guinness Lake Stunning Wicklow Mountain Scenery Powerscourt Waterfall Powerscourt House and Gardens I will take you from Dublin to County Wicklow describing all along the way. You will visit each of the locations above and i will guide you through the Monastic Settlement of Glendalough. At Powerscourt House and Gardens you may enjoy a lovely lunch from an extensive menu. There is also a whiskey distillery there for those who are interested. (120 min)
2. We will visit Powerscourt Waterfall, the highest in Ireland. (60 min)
3. These beautiful gardens are reckoned by National Geographic to be number 3 in the world. The palladian mansion itself is beautful and there are also wonderful shopping opportunities. (120 min)
4. There will be a scenic drive to the higher Wicklow mountains where we will visit Lough Tay on the historic Guinness country residence. We will also visit the sites of some movie locations. (120 min)
