Features
Whiskey Selection, Snug
The Long Hall lives up to its name - a single, magnificent room stretching back from South Great George's Street with a bar running its entire length. The interior is pure Victorian extravagance: carved wooden panels, antique mirrors, ornate chandeliers and a collection of clocks that may or may not tell the right time.
This is a pub for people who appreciate craftsmanship and a well-poured pint. The whiskey selection is excellent, the Guinness is reliably good, and the bartenders have the kind of quiet efficiency that comes from decades of practice. There is no food, no music, no television - just one of the most beautiful rooms in Dublin.
The crowd skews older during the week but the weekend brings everyone through the door. Get there early on a Friday or Saturday if you want any chance of a seat.
