The Grand Social on Lower Liffey Street is one of Dublin's most versatile venues. Spread across multiple floors and rooms, it serves as a live music venue, a late-night club, a weekend market space and a pub all at once.
The main room hosts gigs from emerging and established acts. The Ballroom upstairs does club nights and DJ sets. The Loft is a smaller, intimate space for acoustic shows and spoken word. And the rooftop beer garden - The Terrace - is one of the best-kept secrets on the northside, with views across the Liffey.
During the day it runs as a normal pub with good food and coffee. At weekends the courtyard hosts vintage and craft markets. It is the kind of place that is always doing something interesting, and the programming team has a genuine knack for booking acts just before they break big.
