Tuesdays with Morrie at the Gaiety Theatre Dublin

Tuesdays with Morrie is back at the Gaiety by popular demand, and if you know the book - or even if you don’t - this is a show that’ll stay with you. It’s funny, it’s moving, and it’ll make you think about what actually matters.

What to Expect

Adapted from Mitch Albom’s phenomenally popular memoir, the story follows Mitch, an accomplished journalist driven solely by his career, who happens to see his former college professor Morrie Schwartz on television and learns that Morrie is battling Lou Gehrig’s Disease. What starts as a simple visit turns into a weekly pilgrimage and a final class in the meaning of life.

It’s a two-hander, which means everything rests on the chemistry between the actors. The production has been touring to rave reviews, and the Gaiety is the perfect setting for a show that needs warmth and intimacy. It will make you cry - that’s a given - but above all it will make you laugh. The relationship between Mitch and Morrie is genuinely joyful, even as it breaks your heart.

Presented by Breda Cashe and Pat Moylan, the run goes from April 7 to 18, with evening and matinee performances.
