The Roadhouse Doors bring a complete tribute to The Doors to Lost Lane on Grafton Street. The Doors catalogue is well-suited to this format: the band’s music is more demanding than most tribute material, requiring a vocalist who can carry “Light My Fire” and “The End” without it becoming parody, and an organ player who understands that Ray Manzarek’s parts are the spine of the whole thing.
A complete tribute show means you’re getting the full Doors experience: the hits, the album cuts, and the theatrical quality that made them distinctive in the late 1960s. That’s what “complete” promises, and in a venue like Lost Lane, a basement room under Grafton Street, the setting suits the music.
What to expect
7pm Saturday at Lost Lane, Grafton Street, Dublin 2. A 7pm start means this is a full evening show rather than a late-night set: you’re in and out at a reasonable hour, which makes it practical for people who don’t want a very late night.
Lost Lane is one of Dublin’s better intimate music venues. Its Grafton Street location makes it one of the most central gig venues in the city.
Getting there
Grafton Street is central Dublin, walkable from St Stephen’s Green Luas and close to multiple bus routes. Tickets on Eventbrite.
