Trad Session at Sin E
Sin E on the Northside is one of those venues that feels completely itself. The session on Sunday 19 April 2026 starts at 16:00 and entry is free.
What to Expect
Sin E occupies a distinctive space in Dublin’s trad landscape. It is a smaller venue than some of the better-known trad spots, which means the music feels close and immediate. Sessions here tend to develop their own pace, shaped by whoever shows up to play. The quality is consistently high and the atmosphere is genuinely relaxed.
Upper Ormond Quay puts you on the Northside of the Liffey, close to the Four Courts and a short walk from the quays. It is not the flashiest part of the city but it has a grounded, local feel that suits what Sin E is doing. The pub is well known enough to draw visitors who have done their research, but it has not lost its character for it.
Good to Know
The trad session starts at 16:00 on Sunday. No booking, no entry charge. Sin E is on Upper Ormond Quay, accessible by several bus routes. If you are coming from the south side of the city, it is a walk across one of the river bridges.
