Pokemon drawing workshop

Clondalkin Library runs a Pokemon drawing workshop for ages 7 and up, part of the Easter school holidays programme. Pokemon characters make for surprisingly good drawing subjects: they’re recognisable enough that kids have a clear target in mind, varied enough to keep a session interesting, and appealing enough that children who don’t usually pick up a pencil will give it a go.

The workshop is a structured art session with guidance throughout. No drawing experience required; the whole point is to try.

What to expect

2pm on Saturday at the library. It’s a school holidays workshop, so the room will be lively and the pace is friendly. Materials are provided. Parents can drop off and wait nearby or stay for the session.

Ages 7 and up means it works for a wide age range, which makes it practical for siblings of different ages.

About Clondalkin Library

Clondalkin Library is at Monastery Road, Dublin 22, and runs a consistently good community programme. This kind of event is what public libraries do well: free, accessible, and genuinely useful for families with young children who need activities during the school holidays.

Getting there

Bus routes 13 and 40 serve the Clondalkin area. The library has a car park on site. Book a place through Eventbrite as spaces are limited and these sessions fill quickly.
