National Concert Hall
The NCH Chamber Music Series is one of Dublin’s longest-running classical music programmes. Featuring string quartets, piano trios, wind ensembles, and solo recitals, it showcases both established Irish musicians and visiting international artists.
What to Expect
Lunchtime concerts at 1:05pm offer an hour of high-quality chamber music in the middle of the working day. Evening concerts run longer and often feature more substantial programmes. The repertoire ranges from Baroque to contemporary, with Irish premieres a regular feature.
The John Field Room’s acoustics are ideally suited to chamber music. You hear every nuance, every breath between phrases.
Good to Know
- Lunchtime concerts are typically one hour, no interval
- Evening concerts may include an interval
- Tickets are very affordable compared to main auditorium events
- Arrive early for the best seats - the John Field Room fills up
Getting There
The NCH is on Earlsfort Terrace, a short walk from St Stephen’s Green. The Luas Green Line stops at St Stephen’s Green, and multiple Dublin Bus routes serve the area.
