What to Expect

Matt Rife spent years grinding through small comedy rooms before a run of crowd-work videos on TikTok made him a genuine phenomenon. His ability to improvise with whoever is sitting in the front rows turned him into one of the most-watched comedians online, and that reputation has translated directly into sold-out arena tours worldwide.

His stage show combines prepared material with the live improvisation that made him famous. The crowd-work sections are genuinely unpredictable, which gives the whole night a live-wire energy. He covers relationships, social dynamics and the peculiarities of modern life, always with an eye on the people in the room.

The 3Arena at full capacity is a lot of people to play crowd-work comedy to, but Rife has been doing exactly this in venues this size for the past two years and the format still works at scale.

Getting There

The 3Arena sits on North Wall Quay in the Docklands. DART to Connolly Station and walk along the quays in about 10 minutes. The Luas Red Line also terminates at Connolly. Plenty of taxi and rideshare pickups on Mayor Street after the show. Parking in the Point Depot area is available but fills up fast on big nights.
