Matilda the Musical is the RSC’s multi-award-winning adaptation of Roald Dahl’s classic story. It’s been a phenomenon on the West End, Broadway, and in film, and now the touring production comes to Dublin for an extraordinary five-week run from September 15 to October 18.
What to Expect
Little Matilda is a genius surrounded by awful adults - the tyrannical headmistress Miss Trunchbull, her neglectful parents, and only the kind Miss Honey to believe in her. Tim Minchin’s songs are witty, touching, and cleverly constructed. The staging is inventive and magical. Five weeks means you have no excuse not to see it. A chilled performance on October 18 offers a relaxed environment for those who benefit from it.
