The Guineas Festival at Leopardstown is one of the highlights of the Irish flat racing calendar. Three days of top-class racing featuring some of the best horses in training, set against the backdrop of the Dublin Mountains.
What to Expect
The festival features Group-level races attracting top trainers and jockeys from Ireland and the UK. The card is strong across all three days, with the feature races drawing the biggest crowds. Leopardstown’s modern facilities include excellent viewing areas, multiple bars and restaurants, and a relaxed atmosphere that makes it easy to enjoy the day whether you are a serious racing fan or just looking for a good day out.

- Three days of racing, Saturday to Monday
- First race typically around 1:30pm, last race around 5:30pm
- Dress code is smart casual (no shorts or football jerseys)
- Tote and bookmaker betting on site
- Food options range from picnic areas to the panoramic restaurant
Getting There
Leopardstown Racecourse is in Foxrock, south Dublin. The Luas Green Line to Balally station is a 10-minute walk from the course. Free shuttle buses run from the Luas stop on race days. Dublin Bus route 114 serves the area. Parking is available on site.
