What to Expect
Leinster qualified for the Champions Cup quarter-finals with a convincing 49-31 win over Edinburgh over Easter weekend, setting up a home tie against Sale Sharks at the Aviva. The Sharks have had a strong season in the Premiership and come into this with genuine ambition, but Aviva under these circumstances is a formidable place to visit.
The atmosphere for Leinster’s European home games has been consistently excellent in recent seasons. The Aviva sells out or near enough for these fixtures, and the crowd understands the rugby. If you have been meaning to get to a Leinster game this season, the Champions Cup quarter-final is the one worth prioritising.
Kick-off is 5:30pm on Saturday, which gives you time to get into the stadium, grab a drink, and settle before the action starts. Expect a full house and an early crowd.
Good to Know
- Kick-off 5:30pm Saturday 11 April
- Tickets via Ticketmaster IE or Leinster Rugby website
- Aviva Stadium is cashless at concessions and bars
- Arrive at least 45 minutes before kick-off to clear turnstiles
- Away section is in the North Stand lower tier
Getting There
The Aviva is a short walk from Lansdowne Road DART station and Sandymount DART. Dublin Bus routes 4, 7, and 18 stop nearby. If you are coming by Luas, the Red Line stops at Harcourt from which it is a 15-minute walk, or take the DART from Pearse. Avoid driving; parking around the stadium is limited on match days and the DART is genuinely faster.
