Lankum have redefined what Irish folk music can be. Their albums ‘The Livelong Day’ and ‘False Lankum’ are masterpieces that take traditional songs into dark, droning, transcendent territory. They’re the most important Irish folk group of their generation.
What to Expect
Lankum live is an overwhelming experience. Their arrangements build from spare, haunting beginnings into walls of sound that are genuinely transformative. Radie Peat’s voice is extraordinary. Songs like ‘Go Dig My Grave’, ‘The Wild Rover’, and ‘Newcastle’ become something entirely new in their hands. Vicar Street will be intense.
