Freddie Gibbs is one of the best rappers alive, and that’s not hyperbole. The Gary, Indiana MC has spent over a decade building one of the most consistent catalogues in hip-hop, and now he’s bringing it to Vicar Street for two nights.

Gibbs is a performer who commands a room. His flow is technically flawless, his stage presence is magnetic, and his catalogue is deep enough to keep things fresh across a full set. Whether he’s pulling from his acclaimed work with Madlib (Pinata and Bandana are modern classics), his Grammy-nominated Alfredo with The Alchemist, or his solo material, you’re getting bars.

Getting There

Vicar Street is on Thomas Street in the Liberties, about 10 minutes on foot from Christ Church or 15 minutes from Temple Bar. The Luas Red Line stops at Smithfield and Four Courts, both about a 10-minute walk. Dublin Bus routes 13, 40, and 123 pass nearby, and the 27 runs right along Thomas Street.
