Farmleigh House & Estate - Free Tours & Events

Farmleigh House is a magnificent Victorian-era mansion on the edge of the Phoenix Park, formerly the Dublin home of the Guinness family. Now state-owned, it’s open to the public with free guided tours, art exhibitions, a food market, and beautiful grounds.

What to Expect

The house tour takes you through sumptuously decorated rooms including the ballroom, library, and bedrooms - it’s like stepping back into Guinness-era Dublin at its grandest. The grounds include a walled garden, a lake, woodland walks, and the Boathouse Cafe.

Farmleigh hosts a regular food market, seasonal events, art exhibitions, and family activities. The Christmas market is particularly popular.

Getting There

Farmleigh is at the Castleknock gate of the Phoenix Park, Dublin 15. Dublin Bus 37 to the gate. By car, enter through the Castleknock gate off the N3. Free car park. About 20 minutes from city centre by car.
