Energia All-Ireland League Finals Day at Aviva Stadium Dublin

What to Expect

Finals Day at the Aviva is a proper occasion for Irish club rugby. The Energia All-Ireland League doubles up with both the Men’s Division 1A and Women’s Division finals on the same afternoon, which means you get two full championship deciders for one ticket.

This is only the third time the AIL Finals have been held at Aviva Stadium, and the setting transforms what is ordinarily a good day at a club ground into something significantly bigger. Clubs from across the country will have fans travelling to Dublin, which creates the kind of mixed, partisan atmosphere that makes finals days worthwhile.

The first match kicks off at 1:30pm with the second following. Arrive early to get settled and see the build-up. For anyone who follows Irish club rugby this is the standout domestic fixture of the season.

Good to Know

  • First match kicks off 1:30pm Sunday 26 April
  • Double-header: Women’s final followed by Men’s 1A final (or vice versa)
  • Tickets via Ticketmaster IE / IRFU
  • Aviva Stadium is cashless at all concessions and bars
  • Club supporters from outside Dublin should plan for DART travel
  • Arrive early - the pre-match atmosphere is part of the occasion

Getting There

Lansdowne Road DART station sits beside the stadium and is the best option. DART trains run frequently from Pearse and Connolly stations in the city centre, roughly 10 minutes. Dublin Bus routes 4, 7, and 18 also serve the Ballsbridge area. Match day parking around the stadium is extremely limited - the DART is much easier and takes the stress out of arrival.
