GAA football match at Croke Park

Dublin versus Mayo is one of the defining rivalries in modern Gaelic football. The two counties have produced some of the most dramatic and memorable championship matches of the past decade, and an All-Ireland semi-final between them is always a special occasion at Croke Park.

What to Expect

Croke Park on a big championship day is an experience like no other in Irish sport. 82,000 people, the Hill 16 terrace packed with Dublin supporters, and the kind of atmosphere that makes the hairs stand up on the back of your neck. These teams know each other inside out, and the matches between them are always tactical, physical, and intense.

Good to Know

  • Tickets sell out fast - priority given to club members
  • General admission tickets available via the GAA website
  • Arrive early to soak up the atmosphere around Croke Park
  • Food and drink available inside the stadium
  • The Hill 16 terrace is standing only and is traditionally the Dublin end

Getting There

Croke Park is on Jones’ Road, a 15-minute walk from O’Connell Street. Dublin Bus routes 1, 11, 13, 16, and others serve the area. The 123 bus stops right outside. No dedicated Luas stop, but Connolly station is a 15-minute walk.
