Dublin v Kildare - Leinster Senior Hurling Championship

Dublin’s Leinster Senior Hurling Championship campaign gets properly going at Parnell Park when they host newly promoted Kildare in Round 2. After an opening-round trip to Offaly, this is the first home championship match of the summer.

What to Expect

Parnell Park on a championship day is special. The ground holds around 8,500 and the atmosphere is always brilliant when the hurlers are in action. Kildare earned their place in the top flight and they’ll be fired up to prove they belong. Dublin will want to put down a marker early in their campaign, with Wexford, Galway, and Kilkenny still to come in the round robin.

The Leinster SHC round robin runs from April 18 to May 24, with the provincial final on June 6.

Getting There

Parnell Park is in Donnycarney, about 3km north of the city centre. Dublin Bus routes 27, 42, and 43 serve the area. It’s about a 30-minute walk from Connolly Station or a short taxi ride from the city centre.
