Dublin Theatre Festival is Europe’s oldest dedicated theatre festival and one of the most prestigious theatre events in the world. Every autumn, it brings the best of Irish and international theatre to stages across Dublin.
What to Expect
A curated programme of Irish premieres, international productions, and new work from established and emerging theatre makers. The festival uses Dublin’s theatres - the Abbey, Gate, Gaiety, Project Arts Centre, Smock Alley, and others - to present work that’s ambitious, challenging, and often extraordinary.
This is where you’ll see the theatre productions that define the year. World premieres of new Irish plays sit alongside international touring productions from leading companies. The quality is consistently exceptional.
