Dublin GAA
The Dublin Senior Football Championship is the pinnacle of club GAA in the capital. Once the inter-county season wraps up and the Dublin players return to their clubs, the real business begins. This is where club legends are made and where the pathway to the All-Ireland club championship starts.
What to Expect
The championship typically runs from July through to the county final in October. The top clubs in Dublin - Kilmacud Crokes (defending champions), Na Fianna, Ballyboden St Endas, Cuala, St Jude’s, Thomas Davis, Ballinteer St John’s - all go at it hammer and tongs. When the Dublin inter-county stars line out for their clubs, the standard is exceptional.
The group stages produce brilliant local derbies, and by the time the quarter-finals and semi-finals roll around, the games at Parnell Park are genuinely special. The county final is one of the biggest days in Dublin GAA.
