Vicar Street
Dan McCabe has been quietly building one of the most dedicated fanbases in Irish music. The Limerick singer-songwriter has a voice that could strip paint, in the best possible way, and his live shows are the kind of gigs where everyone in the room is genuinely moved.
What to Expect
McCabe’s music draws from Irish folk and singer-songwriter traditions, but it’s delivered with a raw power that sets him apart. His voice is extraordinary - rich, emotive, and capable of filling a room like Vicar Street without breaking a sweat. Songs like Caledonia and The Voyage have become fan favourites at his live shows, and the atmosphere when the whole room sings along is genuinely special.
He’s earned this Vicar Street headline slot the hard way, playing every venue in the country, building a word-of-mouth following, and delivering consistently great shows. The jump from smaller rooms to a 1,000-seater like Vicar Street is significant, but McCabe has the voice and the songs to match the venue.
If you’ve seen him before, you’re already going. If you haven’t, trust the people who have.
