Coolmine Equestrian Centre
Coolmine Equestrian Centre runs pony camps for children throughout the school holidays. It’s one of the most popular kids’ activity camps in Dublin, and for good reason - the ponies are well-trained, the instructors are patient, and the kids come home exhausted and happy.
What to Expect
Camps run in half-day and full-day formats. Children learn basic horse care (grooming, feeding, tacking up) alongside riding lessons in the outdoor arena and indoor school. No previous experience is required. The camps are grouped by age and ability, and the instructors are experienced with young and nervous riders.
Good to Know
- Camps run during Easter, summer, and mid-term breaks
- Booking essential - camps fill up fast
- Helmets provided, bring boots with a small heel
- Long trousers required (jodhpurs or leggings work)
- Suitable for ages 4 and up
Getting There
Coolmine Equestrian Centre is in Dublin 15, near Coolmine train station on the Maynooth commuter line. Dublin Bus routes 37 and 39 serve the area. Parking available on site.
