Christy Moore is Ireland’s greatest living musician. From Planxty and Moving Hearts to five decades of solo performances, he has soundtracked Irish life like no other artist. Vicar Street is his spiritual home and these shows are always extraordinary occasions.
What to Expect
Just Christy, a guitar, and a bodhran. That’s all he needs. Songs like ‘Ride On’, ‘The Voyage’, ‘City of Chicago’, ‘Ordinary Man’, ‘Lisdoonvarna’, and dozens more, performed with the passion and conviction that has defined his career. At 80-plus, his voice remains powerful and his performances are mesmerising. The audience sings along, the atmosphere is electric, and it’s genuinely moving.
