Bizet’s Carmen is the world’s most performed opera and for good reason. It’s passionate, dramatic, and contains some of the most recognisable music ever written. This full production at the Bord Gais Energy Theatre brings Carmen to Dublin for a limited run.
What to Expect
A full staging of Bizet’s masterpiece with orchestra, chorus, and soloists. Carmen tells the story of the free-spirited Roma woman and the soldier Don Jose who falls fatally in love with her. Even if you’ve never been to an opera, Carmen is the perfect starting point. The music is instantly recognisable, the drama is gripping, and the emotional impact is enormous.
