block. Maya Jane Coles

Maya Jane Coles is one of the most respected selectors in British electronic music. Her 2010 track “What They Say” became a house music touchstone, but she’s spent the years since building a reputation as a DJ who plays long, patient, hypnotic sets. She doesn’t rush a room. She builds it.

block. is the right venue for this. Liberty Lane’s underground room has the acoustics for deep house, and the crowd that turns out for a name at this level tends to know exactly what they’re in for.

What to expect

10pm start, running through until the early hours of Saturday. The room peaks well after midnight so there’s no need to rush, but it will fill up. Get there before 1am if you want to be in the space when it finds its stride.

This is the kind of night that makes a small room feel significant. Dublin doesn’t get Maya Jane Coles every year.
