GAA
The All-Ireland Senior Football Final is the day every GAA county dreams about. Croke Park on the last Sunday in July, 82,000 people, and the Sam Maguire Cup waiting for the winners. Under the new 16-team knockout format for 2026, every game on the road to the final will have been do-or-die.
What to Expect
Two counties who’ve survived the provincial championships and the new knockout format go head to head for the biggest prize in Gaelic football. The atmosphere in Croke Park is extraordinary - the colour, the noise, the tension. Whether Dublin are involved or not, this is a day when the whole country is watching.
The new championship format means the 2026 final could throw up a pairing we haven’t seen in years. That unpredictability is what makes it unmissable.
