The Abbey Theatre is Ireland’s national theatre, and its summer season is always a highlight of Dublin’s cultural calendar. Founded by W.B. Yeats and Lady Gregory in 1904, the Abbey continues to produce some of the most important Irish theatre.

New Irish plays, classic revivals, and bold international work across the main Abbey stage and the smaller Peacock Theatre. The Abbey is committed to new Irish writing and its premieres are often the most talked-about cultural events of the year. The production quality is exceptional and the acting talent is world-class.
