If you’ve ever wanted to see Waterloo performed live in a room where everyone knows every word, ABBA Sensations is your night. This is one of the most polished ABBA tribute acts in Ireland, and they’ve been packing rooms for years because the act genuinely delivers: the harmonies, the costumes, the between-song banter, the hits coming one after another with no let-up.
What to Expect
ABBA Sensations plays the full catalogue. Dancing Queen, Mamma Mia, Voulez-Vous, Fernando, The Winner Takes It All, SOS, Gimme Gimme Gimme. The setlist is everything you’d hope for and the band treats these songs with real respect, not as novelty covers. The performers know their harmonies cold and the production is designed to fill the room.
Lost Lane is the basement venue directly under Grafton Street, which means it’s a bit of an event just getting there - head down the stairs from the street and you’re in a proper gig room, not a bar with a stage in the corner. The low ceiling and close quarters make for great atmosphere at a show like this. The crowd tends to be mixed ages: people who grew up with ABBA, and people who came to them through Mamma Mia. Both are equally welcome.
Come ready to sing. This is not a sit-and-watch show.
Good to Know
- Doors at 7pm, show at 7:30pm
- Lost Lane is a standing venue with some bar seating
- Smart-casual is fine, but don’t be surprised if you see people arrive in full ABBA-era costume
- No support act - it’s ABBA from start to finish
- Bar service throughout the evening
Getting There
Lost Lane is on Grafton Street in the city centre. The nearest Luas stop is St Stephen’s Green (Green Line), about a 5-minute walk. Pearse DART station is about 10 minutes on foot. Dublin Bus routes along Dame Street and Nassau Street stop nearby. If you’re driving in, parking at Drury Street multi-storey is the closest option, but public transport is the sensible choice on a Saturday evening.
